What we do

UGAP is rooted in the UN Sustainable Development Goals, we achieve results through a set of inter-connected programs designed to alleviate poverty by fostering the development of educated and resilient Girls and young women. Our programs emphasize quality education, gender equity, work-life skills, and Health. Girls develop cognitive skills, decision-making capacity, and leadership qualities needed to succeed in life.

UGAP promotes education, health, livelihood, environment, and women’s development projects. The organization majorly works with schoolchildren, unprivileged adolescents and young women, and poor women.

Educational support to schoolchildren was started to help poor rural children meet their educational needs. There is a very good response among poor parents and students. About 1000 students have benefitted from their initiatives so far. This program has even encouraged girls to go for secondary and higher secondary education.

UGAP is very keen on Education, Health, Justice, entrepreneurship, and Economic empowerment programs that help Girls and young women fight poverty. We are also empowered to tackle Gender issues and we are at the forefront of the fight against Female Genital Mutilation, Violence, and Child Marriage.
